Time for a huge compilation! Once again a bunch of regular Mixgalaxy Records artists alongside with a few special guests share their gems with openminded people. There are vocal pop, lo-fi punk, abstract hip-hop, 8bit, breaks, idm, ambient, downtempo tunes and even tango! If you love all kinds of implementations in music as we do, download the whole album at once and enjoy. However, if you look for something special, we’re sure you can enlarge your collection with a couple of these compositions.

Our listeners already know most of the represented authors here. So let us introduce you the guests. The first one is Zhenya Ringo, an expirienced music producer from Minsk, Belarus, the author of projects ‘Spi4ki’ and ‘NPKiS’, one of the fathers of Belorussian underground electronic music movement. The second one is a new conceptual project from Vologda, Russia called Metaharmonics. They kindly agreed to share their electro-pop hit ‘Earth’s Answer’. Also meet Grosse, a fan of acoustic melodic lo-fi forms and YARA, Russian ambient/idm producer from Volgograd who gave us track ‘Old Sky’ from his recently released album ‘With closed eye’. And finally we’re really proud to present one very special guest Salman Aditya from Indonesia(!) who brought us some very exotic and funny tune. We can assure you that you can hardly find something like this on European or American scene because of it’s strong flavour of Asian culture flavour.

So, to make a long story short, it’s one more compilation from a few Mixgalaxy Records goodfellas with interesting, beautiful and creative music.

The List. Four regular Mixgalaxy Records combined their forces to create this postmodern piece of art: scary track-list was made by ambient master Herr Bubenschtolz, voice belongs to Nuts Gives Power, video created by Gerdes and finally Cubic was the person who helped his friends to complete the list. Take abnormal hot weather in Russia instead of muse if you’re curious about inspiration and motivation for creating this deviant stuff.

Something very special happened last wedenesday. For the first time our netlabel has been mentioned in traditional press. Spanish newspaper ‘Diario De Ávila’ published a review on our latest release [MIXG012] Taker 51 – Luces En La Noche. Yes, that’s because Raul is the native citizen of Ávila, but it’s still great for a netlabel to be mentioned in a newspaper. Also the journalists wrote about album remixers (Gipa and Cubic) and our artwork master Ket Golosov. And our congratulations tu Raul himself, of course. Well deserved! Great news again! Independent Brazilian director Rodrigo Brandão has just released his short mistique thriller ‘A Maleta’. For a soundtrack he picked up two Mixgalaxy Records tracks between the others which are Alien S – Eleven (Part 1) from VA – Tvorcheskaya Masterskaya and Waterplea – Birth SE from VA – 2:22. You’ve already heard Spanish artist Raul Diaz aka Taker 51′s track called ‘Viento Vagabundo’ on Music For The Weird Clerkfish compilation. And now we release his album ‘Luces En La Noche’ (which means ‘Lights in the night’), so it’s obviously music for a night. In his compositions Raul prefers to mix soulful acoustic parts with electronic effects. The result is right in one click from you – an easy-listening music that could help you to chill out after another stressful day at the office.

Also our regular artists Cubic and Gipa remixed track ‘Bazo Del Dolor’ for a pleasure of electronic dance music lovers.

Let us tell you something about ‘Music for everyone’. It’s 21st century now, which means there is no music for everyone. Michael Jackson’s death could be also considered as an official death certificate of ‘Music for everyone’. Nothing can be marked with this label today. But if you ask us about potential target group for this release, we would answer that it’s for people who still looks for some catchy melodies with a proper combination of old- and newschool electronic arrangements. Meet Bear and Lamshade. A contemporary American group of extremely talented musicians founded by Robert Neubauer in 2009. Just one year of running through the jungle of modern electronic music, but on a pro level for sure! Siddhartha EP is a properly mixed cocktail of breakcore, maybe a little bit of hardcore, some IDM, industrial and oldschool electronic music pieces. Jazzy pianos, electric guitars and even choirs are also included to create a really delicious taste. Actually we can guarantee that this album will stuck in one’s audioplayer for quite a while.

To promote Creative Commons licensed music and the musicians behind it, Musikpiraten e.V. launches this year once again the Free! Music! Contest. Until the end of July, musicians and bands who are releasing their music under a Creative Commons license, can register for the contest. Until August 22th there will be an additional remix-phase: the participating artists are invited to submit single stems or acapellas in addition to the individual songs. By submitting individual tracks or the submission of music videos, the chance to be added onto the sampler that will be a result of the contest, will be increased – if only just a little bit.

A panel of music bloggers, artists and netlabel enthusiasts then decides who will be promoted on the Free! Music! Sampler 2010. It will be made available as a free download and also be pressed on CD.

We are really honoured that people from around the world choose Mixgalaxy Records music as soundtracks for their video projects either simple youtube clips or serious films. And seems that it becomes a steady trend! This time Danish photograpger Bo Nielsen used track Herr Bubenschtolz – Weird Clerkfish is Swimming Away Satiated from MIXG009 for his project Exposure Of Life, this episode is about his journey to Kiev.
