Congratulations to Waterplea project. Their track Improved Silence from MIXG004 is now in rotation on the famous “Drone Zone” channel of legendary Soma.FM radio. Also we would like to thank embe and Kai for including MixGalaxy tracks in their podcasts.

With this first full-length album released by Mixgalaxy Records dark-ambient composer Stanislav Tretyakov, who works under an alias of Talemore introduces himself to the listeners of our label. As you may have already figured, you are about to be moved to the obscure side of ambient music. This record comprehends a rich spectre of those elements that formed the genre: dismal drones and dreary pads building up a strong atmosphere, some field recordings, some anthropogenic sound effects deliver deeper immersion. Tracks vary from Eastern flavored solemn compositions with chanting voices, woodwinds and ethnic percussion to mysterious futuristic soundscapes. Overall it is a very strong music set for those enjoying the genre or interested in dark side of atmospheric-driven music.

[MIXG005] Talemore – Searching For Life

We’ve join The Net Label Coalition. This is a new forum for netlabels and free music lovers. Don’t hesistate to take part in!

What is the Net Label Coalition? Good question. Beyond these forums serving as a meeting and discussion point for Net Labels and the free music community at large there’s no set path for what can and should be done here. With the support of the labels this could certainly be something bigger, something which has the capacity to mould and support the CC ideal but is there the will to do more? With Jamendo on perilous ground there are obviously possible questions about what focus the free music movement will have in future and even more immediate issues as to how and where the thousands of artists whose work will suddenly be without an outlet are going to go. To my mind the Coalition could be one of the best placed focal points to discuss such ideas and act as an at least vaguely coherent guide to rest of the movement.

Once again Houston people could hear tracks by Alexander Chereshnev and Fedorov Mark from MIXG001 alongside with new winter tales by Mobil and Klee Manko from MIXG004 in Electronic show hosted by JohnT on KLRU 91.7 FM.
