PiXtar is back with his fourth album. That’s right. Describing sound in multimedia era is kinda tedios and absolutely useless work. But we need to write something about it, don’t we? Our regular followers could notice that PiXtar’s tracks have a complicated multilayered structure with many little details all over the room and on the other hand there are pretty rhytmic commonly acceptable grooves. This album has rather ‘mainstream’ than ‘underground’ flavour. The sound is cool and solid as usual, less IDM more electro and breakbeat with a slight reminiscence of retro electronica. After all since the myth about always young and always progressive electronic music had busted we are sentenced to retro. This album description is over. It’s time to listen to the MUSIC.

DJ LeadER, part time-musician and a full-time chef from Irkutsk, Russia has cooked a very special meal for you. This music was carefully put layer after layer as a sonic recreation of LSD effects depicting various responses of consciousness on this mind-altering drug. You’ll take one trip at a time with every track, undergoing smooth flow of good ones and suffering anxiety and inconstancy of bad ones. Whether you ever wondered how one feels under the influence or wanted to compare your own experience to others’ or you are just interested in music with peculiar concepts – these senses transformed into an art form will satisfy your curiosity.

Imagine that on your endless flight through vast outer space engine power went down and you’ve lost any connection with your home planet.
Imagine you lost everything you have, everything you love, everything you own. There is no home, no family, no friends anymore. No goals, no plans, no career.
Just you and infinite space. The only thing that you have so far is your life experience which isn’t so useful anymore and memories that could help you not to loose your mind.
What would you do? How are you going to survive? Is there any hope?
Those are the questions PiXtar tries to answer in his third album. Techno-ambient atmosphere with a light shade of industrial new age and lounge and recognizable top notch multi-layered PiXtar’s arrangements can help you experience feelings of a man that is lost in space.

This time Mixgalaxy Records made a special compilation for Mr. Danny DeVito. Why? Because nobody has never done this for him before. At least officially. We sorta didn’t know what kind of music he prefers so we’ve set up a tracklist of a wide variety of genres for him to pick from. We decided that making it a private release would be unfair to our listeners so you all are very much welcome to give this record a listen and share it with your friends of course.
It’s an easy bet to say that for Mr. DeVito all the names here are new, however for our regular listeners this release is once again a mix of old timers (even including Jacobo – a raggae-dub side project of Sinestesia) and a couple of guest artists which we would like to present. Meet Abel Mariam from San Jose, California, USA who contributed an opening track and meet Russian-Norwegian duo Zunzagi which consists of sound producer Sergei from Tomsk and singer Julia from Oslo. And finally welcome Without Time band form Grodno, Bealrus.
So, as you can expect from Mixgalaxy Records it’s a nice one hour set of good tracks fluctuating from easy listening and folk-pop to electro-house, breakbeat and even hip-hop. And if by any chance you are an acquaintance of Mr. DeVito – make sure to pass him the link, that will do us all a big favor.

Our IDM-maestro PiXtar is back with a new EP. Following on from the previous release, in a similar style “Sci-Fi” is five solid extremely listenable tracks with more brutal and even more complicated arrangements. Hundreds of comletely different elements are properly mixed together forming harmonic sound canvas of intelligent electronic music. Perfectly ordered chaos!

Welcome our special guest from Berlin Norman Dauskardt who choose not very pronounceable alias Th.e n.d. Norman is not an absolute newcomer on netaudio scene. He has already contributed Schizophrenic Birth EP – a symbiosis of electronic beats and acoustics instruments. And he continues with ‘Metaphors’ EP which is proudly presented to you by us Mixgalaxy Records. The listener is taken into the vast diversity of sounds and tunes, to explore the various possibilities of modern music composition. Starting with frosty electronic vibes in ‘The Bane of Tadziu’ Norman then increases rhythmic variation and adds new melodic elements to create a more trip-hop-like sound, and all together these ingredients compose a unique whole. That’s a very tasty piece of acoustic electronica!
In the archive you can also find Norman’s photos and biography and hi-res version of cover artwork made by Norwegian painter Mathias Faane.

With this album we continue our release line dedicated to soundtracks for non-existing movies started by Restin in MIXG008. ‘Eleven’ is the first album written by Alien S, the author from Tumen, Russia who used to open or close Mixgalaxy Records compilations with his outstanding productions. And the very first track on our very first compilation is the track which opens this album as well. If you want to know how it sounds like, we can tell you it has something from Paul Oakenfold’s ‘Swordfish’ soundtrack and maybe it could be influenced by Juno Reactor works. So take a sit, turn your audioplayer on, close your eyes and try to create a blockbuster ‘Eleven’ in your head.
