This time Mixgalaxy Records made a special compilation for Mr. Danny DeVito. Why? Because nobody has never done this for him before. At least officially. We sorta didn’t know what kind of music he prefers so we’ve set up a tracklist of a wide variety of genres for him to pick from. We decided that making it a private release would be unfair to our listeners so you all are very much welcome to give this record a listen and share it with your friends of course.

It’s an easy bet to say that for Mr. DeVito all the names here are new, however for our regular listeners this release is once again a mix of old timers (even including Jacobo – a raggae-dub side project of Sinestesia) and a couple of guest artists which we would like to present. Meet Abel Mariam from San Jose, California, USA who contributed an opening track and meet Russian-Norwegian duo Zunzagi which consists of sound producer Sergei from Tomsk and singer Julia from Oslo. And finally welcome Without Time band form Grodno, Bealrus.

So, as you can expect from Mixgalaxy Records it’s a nice one hour set of good tracks fluctuating from easy listening and folk-pop to electro-house, breakbeat and even hip-hop. Welcome our special guest from Berlin Norman Dauskardt who choose not very pronounceable alias Th.e n.d. Norman is not an absolute newcomer on netaudio scene. He has already contributed Schizophrenic Birth EP – a symbiosis of electronic beats and acoustics instruments. And he continues with ‘Metaphors’ EP which is proudly presented to you by us Mixgalaxy Records. The listener is taken into the vast diversity of sounds and tunes, to explore the various possibilities of modern music composition. Starting with frosty electronic vibes in ‘The Bane of Tadziu’ Norman then increases rhythmic variation and adds new melodic elements to create a more trip-hop-like sound, and all together these ingredients compose a unique whole. That’s a very tasty piece of acoustic electronica!

With this album we continue our release line dedicated to soundtracks for non-existing movies started by Restin in MIXG008. ‘Eleven’ is the first album written by Alien S, the author from Tumen, Russia who used to open or close Mixgalaxy Records compilations with his outstanding productions. And the very first track on our very first compilation is the track which opens this album as well. If you want to know how it sounds like, we can tell you it has something from Paul Oakenfold’s ‘Swordfish’ soundtrack and maybe it could be influenced by Juno Reactor works. Time for a huge compilation! Once again a bunch of regular Mixgalaxy Records artists alongside with a few special guests share their gems with openminded people. The first one is Zhenya Ringo, an expirienced music producer from Minsk, Belarus, the author of projects ‘Spi4ki’ and ‘NPKiS’, one of the fathers of Belorussian underground electronic music movement. The second one is a new conceptual project from Vologda, Russia called Metaharmonics. They kindly agreed to share their electro-pop hit ‘Earth’s Answer’. Also meet Grosse, a fan of acoustic melodic lo-fi forms and YARA, Russian ambient/idm producer from Volgograd who gave us track ‘Old Sky’ from his recently released album ‘With closed eye’. And finally we’re really proud to present one very special guest Salman Aditya from Indonesia(!) who brought us some very exotic and funny tune. We can assure you that you can hardly find something like this on European or American scene because of it’s strong Asian culture flavour.

Meet Bear and Lamshade. A contemporary American group of extremely talented musicians founded by Robert Neubauer in 2009. Just one year of running through the jungle of modern electronic music, but on a pro level for sure! Siddhartha EP is a properly mixed cocktail of breakcore, maybe a little bit of hardcore, some IDM, industrial and oldschool electronic music pieces. Jazzy pianos, electric guitars and even choirs are also included to create a really delicious taste. Actually we can guarantee that this album will stuck in one’s audioplayer for quite a while.

Clerkfish is an aquatic vertebrate that is covered with scales of cynicism. During the evolution process, this fish became cold-blooded because of eating different media products. There is only one thing in all aquatic environments that hepls this creature in self-realization – MUSIC. Clerkfish needs to eat at least one good mixtape every day, otherwise it dies fast either in abyssal depths of the chaotic post-modernist ocean or from a fisherman’s knife.

We happened to meet one in the nearest lake. It was a really weird creation that looked very hungry. So we had nothing to do than to feed the clerkfish with our latest mixtape that opened a new chapter of Mixgalaxy Records diary. Yes, we go international! Artists form around the world took part in this project. Among them are IMDB listed old-school hip-hop artist Brandon K. Montoya aka Coruscate and Bear & Lampshade duo from USA, Brazilian pop-singer Yokandesh, UK vocalist Gizella and finally Spanish multi-instrumentalist Raul Diaz Palomar aka Taker 51. Some of them have got slots in our release shedule.

And of course a few already known Mixgalaxy artists demonstrated their creativity again. So this is another salad-style compilation that proves our motto ‘Delivering Diverse Music’. Ambient, IDM, Russian folk-pop, acid broken beat, hip-hop, lounge, smooth jazz, hardcore space electronica, cold and warm, catchy and glitchy, melodic and abstract – everybody can find something for him- or herself. No doubt about it.
