Do you remember our regular contributors Waterplea who were with us from the beginning? They prepared their first solo LP to be released here. Let you not be tricked by a short tracklist for it’s a 40 minutes trip with detailed conception, ever-changing pace and mood. It takes you from your chair/sofa/bed to a deep sleep state, laying a road before you and inviting you to visit unexplored worlds drawn with blended colors of rich imagination of the authors. Traversing dark ambient soundscapes through intense vivid beats to engaging downtempo grooves this solid music piece touches dozens of different styles and evokes a broad range of emotions and pictures in listeners head.
As authors say the album was mostly composed sequentially, that’s why it was decided to keep the most of it in a single track to underline the theme of one thing transforming into another as your thoughts move from it as it often happens when you sleep. When one is seeing a dream it is hard to tell when it started or how he got here because it’s in a constant change yet all is still connected. This album is something you’d probably like to return to, because of its multilayered atmosphere and numerous details that make listener want to give it another shot to explore something he missed before. There was also a limited number of physical copies printed; images created for its booklet are included in the archive.

VAD is Mixgalaxy old-timer, he contributed to numerous compilations of our label and now we proudly present you his solo album. It’s a mix of Russian folk singing with New Age music. Charming scent of traditions combined with rich electronic timbres gives birth to some nostalgic melancholy and rememberance of music one might have heard long long time ago, yet it manages to stay topical and fresh. It doesn’t matter if you were not born in Russia and haven’t absorbed that calm old-fashioned unity with nature that is streaming in the veins of Russian outlying districts – this music is going to share all this with you as a well written book. VAD’s huge composer experience enables him to communicate with the listener on this vivid language freely like he was telling you about his motherland with heart-warming expression, contagious interest and dozens of lively details. You might not want to miss such an involving tale so make sure you give it a listen and share it with your friends.

This time Mixgalaxy Records made a special compilation for Mr. Danny DeVito. Why? Because nobody has never done this for him before. At least officially. We sorta didn’t know what kind of music he prefers so we’ve set up a tracklist of a wide variety of genres for him to pick from. We decided that making it a private release would be unfair to our listeners so you all are very much welcome to give this record a listen and share it with your friends of course.
It’s an easy bet to say that for Mr. DeVito all the names here are new, however for our regular listeners this release is once again a mix of old timers (even including Jacobo – a raggae-dub side project of Sinestesia) and a couple of guest artists which we would like to present. Meet Abel Mariam from San Jose, California, USA who contributed an opening track and meet Russian-Norwegian duo Zunzagi which consists of sound producer Sergei from Tomsk and singer Julia from Oslo. And finally welcome Without Time band form Grodno, Bealrus.
So, as you can expect from Mixgalaxy Records it’s a nice one hour set of good tracks fluctuating from easy listening and folk-pop to electro-house, breakbeat and even hip-hop. And if by any chance you are an acquaintance of Mr. DeVito – make sure to pass him the link, that will do us all a big favor.

A year has passed since the birth of Russian netlabel Mixgalaxy Records and with that time sweeping past there were 15 releases of very diverse genres with many tracks worthy of mentioning “Yes, we released that!” And to celebrate our first birthday we prepared a special compilation which opens our ‘Best of’ series. It was gathered from our best tunes released during 2009-2010 that are the most epic, the most catchy, the most melodic, the most deep and the most chilly tracks in downtempo, ambient, chillout and new age genres from our Russian and Ukranian residents. Thanks for being with us and stay tuned!

Time for a huge compilation! Once again a bunch of regular Mixgalaxy Records artists alongside with a few special guests share their gems with openminded people. There are vocal pop, lo-fi punk, abstract hip-hop, 8bit, breaks, idm, ambient, downtempo tunes and even tango! If you love all kinds of implementations in music as we do, download the whole album at once and enjoy. However, if you look for something special, we’re sure you can enlarge your collection with a couple of these compositions.
Our listeners already know most of the represented authors here. So let us introduce you the guests. The first one is Zhenya Ringo, an expirienced music producer from Minsk, Belarus, the author of projects ‘Spi4ki’ and ‘NPKiS’, one of the fathers of Belorussian underground electronic music movement. The second one is a new conceptual project from Vologda, Russia called Metaharmonics. They kindly agreed to share their electro-pop hit ‘Earth’s Answer’. Also meet Grosse, a fan of acoustic melodic lo-fi forms and YARA, Russian ambient/idm producer from Volgograd who gave us track ‘Old Sky’ from his recently released album ‘With closed eye’. And finally we’re really proud to present one very special guest Salman Aditya from Indonesia(!) who brought us some very exotic and funny tune. We can assure you that you can hardly find something like this on European or American scene because of it’s strong Asian culture flavour.
More than that, we’ve got second official Mixgalaxy Records videoclip. You can read more about it here.
So, to make a long story short, it’s one more compilation from a few Mixgalaxy Records goodfellas with interesting, beautiful and creative music.

You’ve already heard Spanish artist Raul Diaz aka Taker 51′s track called ‘Viento Vagabundo’ on Music For The Weird Clerkfish compilation. And now we release his album ‘Luces En La Noche’ (which means ‘Lights in the night’), so it’s obviously music for a night. In his compositions Raul prefers to mix soulful acoustic parts with electronic effects. The result is right in one click from you – an easy-listening music that could help you to chill out after another stressful day at the office.
Also our regular artists Cubic and Gipa remixed track ‘Brazo Del Dolor’ for a pleasure of electronic dance music lovers.
