Mixgalaxy goes exotic this summer. Another one experimental step in our journey. We’re gonna present you our first LP release by overseas artist Yokandesh. He was born in Brazil town Belo Horizonte but raised in Lima (Peru), Quito (Ecuador) and Vitoria (Brazil). The moment of truth happened in Germany where Yokandesh decided to become a music maker.

And the result is ‘Viva Como Quiera’ (Live as You Want to), top quality Brazilian Pop album mixed with Samba, Rock, Baião, Jazz and other elements from many genres. The album shows how versatile pop can be, having as many as five completely different rythms and still maintaining an identity. 1000 physical copies have been sold in Brazil since January 2010. These songs are about travelling, love and freedom. A perfect album for the summer.

Various Artists - Music For The Weird Clerkfish

Clerkfish is an aquatic vertebrate that is covered with scales of cynicism. During the evolution process, this fish became cold-blooded because of eating different media products. There is only one thing in all aquatic environments that hepls this creature in self-realization – MUSIC. Clerkfish needs to eat at least one good mixtape every day, otherwise it dies fast either in abyssal depths of the chaotic post-modernist ocean or from a fisherman’s knife.

We happened to meet one in the nearest lake. It was a really weird creation that looked very hungry. So we had nothing to do than to feed the clerkfish with our latest mixtape that opened a new chapter of Mixgalaxy Records diary. Yes, we go international! Artists form around the world took part in this project. Among them are IMDB listed old-school hip-hop artist Brandon K. Montoya aka Coruscate and Bear & Lampshade duo from USA, Brazilian pop-singer Yokandesh, UK vocalist Gizella and finally Spanish multi-instrumentalist Raul Diaz Palomar aka Taker 51. Some of them have got slots in our release shedule.

And of course a few already known Mixgalaxy artists demonstrated their creativity again. So this is another salad-style compilation that proves our motto ‘Delivering Diverse Music’. Ambient, IDM, Russian folk-pop, acid broken beat, hip-hop, lounge, smooth jazz, hardcore space electronica, cold and warm, catchy and glitchy, melodic and abstract – everybody can find something for him- or herself. No doubt about it.

New chapter requires new illustrations. So welcome our new painter Ket Golosov, the author of this wonderful cover art.

Рыба-клерк – водное позвоночное, покрытое чешуёй цинизма. Во время эволюционных мутаций стало хладнокровным из-за того, что поглощало самые разные медиапродукты. Существует лишь одна вещь, помогающая этой рыбе в само-осознании – МУЗЫКА. Рыбе-клерку необходимо ежедневно поедать минимум одну компиляцию, в противном случае она быстро умирает либо в бездонных глубинах хаотичного постмодернистского океана, либо от ножа рыбака.

Мы случайно встретили такую в ближайшем озере. Довольно странное существо, которое выглядело очень голодным. Нам ничего не оставалось, кроме как накормить её нашей последней музыкальной сборкой, открывающей новую главу дневника Mixgalaxy Records. Отныне мы по-праву можем именоваться международным лейблом. Артисты со всего мира приняли участие в данном проекте. Среди них олдскульный хип-хоп продюсер Брэндон к. Монтойя, известный под псевдонимом Coruscate и дуэт Bear & Lampshade из США, бразильский поп-певец Yokandesh, британская вокалистка Gizella и наконец испанский человек-оркестр Рауль Диаз Паломар, также известный как Taker 51. Некоторые из них уже забронировали слоты в расписании наших релизов.

И, разумеется, известные вам артисты Mixgalaxy в очередной раз продемонстрировали свою креативность. Выпуском этой салатной сборки мы снова подтвердили наш девиз ‘Delivering Diverse Music’: эмбиент, IDM, русский народный поп, кислотный брейкбит, космическая хардкорная электроника, хип-хоп, джаз, лаунж, холодные и тёплые, мелодичные и абстрактные, глитчевые и просто цепляющие композиции – каждый сможет найти по душе.

Новой главе понадобились новые иллюстрации, которые любезно предоставил наш художник Кет Голосов, за что ему большое спасибо.

This time authors have been given a task to create full music composition strictly 2 minutes and 22 seconds long, while being completely free in genre choice. Net-label MixGalaxy Records gladly presents a compilation of tracks, composed by users of MixGalaxy.ru Forum, one for those who like to wonder and ready for music adventures. The most bright and diverse works were picked for it, from minimalistic ambient, dark psy and cheerful drum’n'bass to sprightly chiptune, metalcore and even jazz. Many of represented authors had repeatedly released their music on labels such as Fektive, Kahvi, JOOF, Phunkfiction etc. Sparing meaningless words, this is a pretty interesting and contradictory compilation worthy of attention of the most versed music listeners, so it’s just a must-try. Sit back, relax and enjoy, and bright expressions to everyone!
